Key-Holder

The City of Wayzata is now accepting employment applications for the position of Liquor Store Key-Holder for the Wayzata Wine & Spirits.Wayzata is a premier suburb located 11 miles west of downtown Minneapolis. With a population of 4,500 people, Wayzata is a tight-knit community which is known for its vibrant downtown and picturesque setting on Lake Minnetonka. A popular destination for visitors, Wayzata’s downtown is home to a number of specialty shops, boutiques, professional services, and restaurants. Wayzata’s business districts and residential neighborhoods provide a significant tax base for this unique small town community.

General Duties:

Responsible for strict control and maintenance of the sale of alcohol beverages, ensuring that all laws and regulations are strictly adhered to.  In addition, the Key-Holder will provide guidance and direction when Wayzata Wine & Spirits’ management is not present.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, valid MN Driver’s license, minimum of three months experience as a Wayzata Wine and Spirits Sales Associate or six months retail liquor experience, requires sound judgment in the handling of product and money, must possess the ability to deal professionally with customers, following all policies and procedures for alcoholic beverage sales as set forth by Wayzata Wine and Spirits, be available to work a schedule, which includes a variety of days, evenings, weekends and holidays, excellent customer service skills are required, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred and must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Desired Qualifications:

Prefer experience in a municipal off-sale liquor operation

Liquor Store Clerk

 

The City of Wayzata is now accepting employment applications for the position of a part-time Liquor Store Clerk at the Wayzata Wine & Spirits.

Wayzata is a premier suburb located 11 miles west of downtown Minneapolis. With a population of 4,500 people, Wayzata is a tight-knit community which is known for its vibrant downtown and picturesque setting on Lake Minnetonka. A popular destination for visitors, Wayzata’s downtown is home to a number of specialty shops, boutiques, professional services, and restaurants. Wayzata’s business districts and residential neighborhoods provide a significant tax base for this unique small town community.

General Duties

This position requires you to run a point of sale (POS) register, responsible for strict control and maintenance of the sale of alcohol beverages, provide prompt and courteous customer service, assist in keeping store clean and assist management as needed. Must be able to interact with customers in a professional, courteous and helpful manner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess the ability to deal professionally with customers while following all policies and procedures for alcoholic beverage sales as set forth by Wayzata Wine and Spirits

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a municipal off-sale liquor operation
